Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Pattern Naturopathic website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website or services.
Services Provided
Pattern Naturopathic provides the following categories of services:
Washington, DC Medical Care
Telemedicine-based naturopathic medical care with a licensed DC naturopathic physician.
Virginia Consulting Services
In-person naturopathic consultations provided in collaboration with Longevity Health Clinic in Charlottesville, VA. Dr. Mumaw does not independently diagnose or prescribe in Virginia and functions in a consulting role in coordination with the supervising medical team.
Educational Wellness Consulting
Virtual health strategy and consulting. These services are educational in nature, do not constitute medical care, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Doctor–Patient Relationship
Submitting an inquiry, booking request, or initial contact does not establish a doctor–patient relationship.
A formal doctor–patient relationship is established only for patients receiving licensed medical care in Washington, DC after an initial consultation and mutual agreement to proceed with care.
No doctor–patient relationship is established through educational wellness consulting services.
Scope of Practice and Emergency Care
Services are provided within the scope of naturopathic practice as defined by applicable laws and regulations.
Naturopathic care is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
Payment and Cancellation
Pattern Naturopathic operates on a cash-pay basis. Payment is due at the time of service.
Superbills may be provided for potential insurance reimbursement; reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to fees.
Confidentiality and Security
Protected health information for patients receiving licensed medical care in Washington, DC is maintained in secure, HIPAA-compliant systems.
Do not submit sensitive health information through unsecured email or contact forms. Secure intake forms are provided after booking.
Telemedicine Consent and Location Requirement
By participating in telemedicine services, you acknowledge and consent to the limitations of remote care.
You are responsible for confirming and attesting that you are physically located in Washington, DC at the time of service when receiving licensed medical care. Services may be declined or terminated if location requirements are not met.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pattern Naturopathic and Dr. Sarah Mumaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the website or services.
Liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and design elements, is the property of Pattern Naturopathic and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Changes to Terms
